About Emma
Emma Comrie graduated from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she also worked as an event photographer and social media coordinator. Her concentration (aka major) is titled "Media, Cultural Narratives, and Visual Storytelling" which combines journalistic media, entertainment media, and global and cultural analysis. Emma also has a minor in Producing for Film and TV from the Tisch School of the Arts. Both academically and artistically, Emma strives to combine elements of abstraction within her photojournalism and documentary work. Photography is a powerful tool and as a photographer, Emma is interested in further exploring issues of democracy, activism, race, representation, and normality through the lens of visual media.
